Certificate Electric Vehicles (EV)

利记sbo

The automotive industry is currently undergoing a rapid transition to the production of electric vehicles and needs knowledgeable engineers who understand the complexities of this emerging technology. There is a shortage of automotive engineers possessing these skills, resulting in many employment opportunities for those with extensive knowledge of EV technology.

Lawrence Technological University has developed a comprehensive graduate engineering certificate designed to meet the needs of the automotive industry, train the modern workforce, and provide foundational knowledge on electric vehicles. The Lawrence Tech EV Certificate is extremely flexible, allowing students to choose courses based on their interests within the realm of EV development and manufacturing.

The Electric Vehicles certificate, offered through the College of Engineering, is a 15-credit certificate composed of two core engineering courses and three engineering technical elective courses. These graduate courses are available to graduate students, senior undergrads, and industry professionals. The elective topics covered in this program will be EV architecture and systems, battery applications, vehicle sensing, thermal management, vehicle safety, and electromechanical fundamentals.

This is the only EV certificate in the state of Michigan with a hands-on lab component in conjunction with online and in‐classroom instruction. The certificate will provide seniors with an excellent opportunity to acquire credentials prior to graduation and gain valuable insights and practical experience in an increasingly vital field. For more experienced professionals, the certificate will help to enhance automotive expertise and be at the forefront of the new automotive frontier of EVs.
